The Third Model of a Muslim Woman, as a comprehensive framework within Islamic discourse, emphasizes the integration of familial roles and socio-political participation of women. This study aims to identify and analyze the challenges and strategies for realizing this model in Khuzestan Province. Khuzestan, with its cultural and ethnic diversity, patriarchal structures, and the clash between tradition and modernity, presents a complex context for the implementation of this model.
Findings indicate that women in Khuzestan face challenges such as limited representation in managerial and political structures, inadequate educational infrastructure, cultural and legal discrimination, and pressures from tribal traditions. Simultaneously, capacities such as women’s historical role in crisis management, the influence of local media in shifting perspectives, and their capabilities in social and economic spheres create opportunities for the realization of this model.
Proposed strategies include developing political and legal education, establishing educational infrastructure in rural areas, reforming supportive laws, and utilizing local media to showcase successful female role models. By emphasizing localized analysis of challenges and offering practical solutions, this study provides a model for empowering women and promoting gender justice in other regions of Iran.
